Size solar against the plant operating pattern
Separate continuous utility demand from batch operations, shutdowns and seasonal production. Share interval consumption where available, recent electricity bills and planned load changes. A rooftop area estimate alone cannot establish how much generation the plant can use.
Check the site before selecting equipment
Identify hazardous areas, chemical exposure, roof condition, fire access and cable routes before choosing installation locations. Engineering assessment should establish structural suitability, isolation arrangements and permitted work windows with the plant team. These checks are specific to the facility.
Keep energy efficiency and procurement distinct
BEE’s PAT framework measures specific energy consumption relative to production for designated consumers. Buying solar electricity and reducing process energy consumption are separate decisions. Define the commercial electricity objective alongside the plant’s efficiency programme without assuming a solar contract establishes regulatory compliance.

Solar generation varies with daylight and weather. The assessment must retain the required grid or other supply arrangements; a solar-only proposal is not a continuous-power guarantee.

GH2 evaluates onsite projects from 300 kW across India for buyers with A- or better long-term credit ratings. Roof or land suitability, consumption and commercial diligence still apply.
What should the plant share first?
Provide plant location, operating shifts, monthly and interval consumption, connection voltage, roof or land details and known hazardous-area restrictions. Avoid including confidential process recipes in the initial enquiry.
